‘Our World, My Roots’ is a culture-rich, informative, and engaging non-fiction book series for kids.
Self-published and written by Anna Makanda and Sharmane Barrett, each book takes the reader through a journey to discover a different country. Their mission is to help ignite a child’s interest in their roots and empower them to become culturally confident.
Zimbabwe is one of the four books that I have had the pleasure of illustrating. The remaining published books are Jamaica, Nigeria, and Ghana.
